There is a beautiful new portrait displayed on the entry level of the Pepperdine University School of Law. The portrait is of Herbert and Elinor Nootbaar, the namesakes of the Nootbaar Institute on Law, Religion, and Ethics that held its annual conference here last weekend. The lovely Mrs. Nootbaar passed away two years ago, but Mr. Nootbaar continues on in his steadfast support of the work of the Pepperdine Law School.
Mr. Nootbaar is typically at the annual conference of the institute that bears his name, but he did not feel up to making the trip last weekend. Given the fact that he celebrated his 104th birthday last November, he was given an excused absence!
You can read about the endowment of the Nootbaar Institute HERE. Next time you visit the law school, be sure to check out the beautiful portrait of the Nootbaars.
