The U.S. News & World Report law school rankings have been widely criticized. Regardless, both prospective students and employers of law school graduates pay close attention to a school’s ranking. Consequently, law schools pay close attention, too.
HERE are the brand new rankings of law schools by U.S. News & World Report. From our perspective, it is a “good news” year. We rose seven spots in the rankings to #54 (tied with UC-Hastings, the University of Connecticut, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln). Among the twenty-one California law schools, we are tied for sixth in the rankings.
And more good news — our Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution is ranked #1 in the country in the specific field of Dispute Resolution for the tenth consecutive year!!!!
Of course, it is my personal belief that Pepperdine Law has a unique mission and that we are the best in the world at what we seek to do!
