Last Saturday was Step Forward Day at Pepperdine University, a day dedicated to volunteerism. The 2014 rendition marked the 26th anniversary for this massive event, and it is always encouraging to see so many young people out serving others.
Several 1Ls from Section C decided to volunteer, and I was glad to see the happy picture above posted on the Facebook page for Section C. In addition, I joined eight students for our monthly “Sack Lunch Saturday.” On the first Saturday of each month, law school volunteers prepare sack lunches for the day laborers who gather at the Malibu Community Labor Exchange.
