Still Going Strong

The semester is winding down, and the pressure of exams is ratcheting up, but a look at today’s calendar reveals several great event opportunities as we race toward the finish line:

• FUEL FOR FINALS WEEK
Hot Cocoa Bar and Crafts at 12:30pm in the Law Library; Free Yoga at 5:00pm in the Law Library Quiet Gym

• INFORMATION SESSION FOR GLOBAL JUSTICE SUMMER INTERNSHIPS
12:40–1:30pm in Classroom D. (La Salsa lunch provided)

• NINTH CIRCUIT CLINIC WATCH PARTY
At 12:30pm in Classroom G, the Clinical Education program invites the SOL community to watch the oral arguments that the Ninth Circuit Appellate Clinic completed earlier this month. Katelin Eastman and Sarah Gerdes argued before the Ninth Circuit under Prof. Jeremy Rosen’s direction. Before watching video of the oral argument, Prof. Rosen will brief the case and explain the issues; Katelin and Sarah then will discuss their decisions, preparation and performance in court. We will provide coffee and light refreshments and hope that you will join us.

• WEDNESDAY NIGHTS AT THE CARONS’
The final Dean’s Bible Study is at Professor Caron’s home at 7:00pm.  Tonight’s concluding message on Micah 6:8 will be delivered by our gracious host, Professor Paul Caron!

I can’t tell you enough how much I enjoy your regular posts! We live in western Michigan, and it is a loooong way to Malibu, so the occasional photo and update on what is going on means a lot. Plus, our son, John, set the tone for school many years ago when he was in pre-school. After too many questions he said to me, “Mommy, if you want to know what I do at school every day you better just start staying.” And that has pretty much been his theory since.

So on the days when you are going through the process of writing and posting and wondering if anybody ever reads them, rest assured that we do! Thank you for all you do for your students. Colleen Buckley
